The article investigates the procedural aspects of selecting effective solutions and provides an analysis of publications on the application of various decision-making methods in management tasks, particularly in the context of modern urban transformation. The scheme of sequential analysis of options is discussed as an effective tool for narrowing the space of possible solutions, and a generalized methodology for the selection of projects on a competitive basis is proposed, with a focus on the formalization of selection procedures, digitization and automation of data processing.
